Richard Mille Announce Two Limited Edition Felipe Massa Watches – 10th Anniversary Of Collaboration

Richard Mille has dedicated a special collection of RM 056 and RM 011 timepieces to Felipe Massa to mark the 10^th anniversary of their collaboration. Brazilian Forumla 1 driver Felipe Massa was the first sporting ambassador to have joined the Richard Mille team, and it was he who enabled the brand to accomplish astonishing watchmaking development. Such developments included the manufacture of a carbon nanofiber baseplate.

‘My watches are conceived and built with the F1 technological spirit inside of them, in the same manner as the cars are built’ Mille explained.

The RM 011 Felipe Massa has been limited to 100 pieces. It features some specialties, such as an annual calendar, a 60-minute flyback chronograph and a countdown function. It has been crafted in grade 5 titanium and hand finished, offering a NTPT carbon case – a material unique to Richard Mille watches– allowing remarkable resistance and a unique appearance.

The RM 056 represents the brand’s most exciting innovations, as it is comprised by more than 500 individual pieces and is renowned for its uncompromising technicality.  The watch comes in a superb Sapphire case, which takes no less than 1000 hours to cut and polish. The transparent case allows watch enthusiasts to observe the beautiful mechanics, including a split-seconds chronograph, a power reserve and a torque indicator, controlled by a function selector.

The driver’s racing colors, blue and yellow inspire the RM 056 and RM 011 ‘10th Anniversary’ watches. Felipe’s logo has been subtly placed at 1 o’clock, and all these exquisite pieces include Felipe’s signature engraved on the reverse.

Both of these watches replicate the exceptional achievements of Felipe Massa himself. During his 13-year career, Massa competed in a total of 218, achieving pole position in 16 of them, and reaching the podium 40 times. Felipe was the 4^th most decorated driver of the Scuderia.
