Omega Seamaster 

If it’s good enough for a secret agent, it’s good enough for us. Often, field watches are overlooked when discussing luxury timepieces, but this dive watch, paired with a NATO strap, offers the best of both worlds.

The 007 edition of the Seamaster – worn by Bond in No Time To Die is a great first entry piece and can be purchased for around £9,500.

In his 9th film with Omega, the MI6 agent is on a major mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist. As ever, 007 is equipped with his faithful Seamaster as he follows the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

This 42mm Seamaster in strong lightweight Grade 2 Titanium sports a brown tropical aluminium bezel ring and dial.

Slightly slimmer than the standard Diver 300M models thanks to the doming of the sapphire-crystal glass, it is presented on a Titanium mesh bracelet with innovative adjustable buckle. And of course, there needs to be some kind of gadget – in this one, we’ll take the magnetic resistance.

Tudor Black Bay

Tudor is a sister company to Rolex, offering high-quality watches at a more accessible price point. The Tudor Black Bay collection features vintage-inspired designs and is well-regarded among watch enthusiasts.

You may not remember the years of raving that went on about the Rolex GMT-Master Pepsi in ceramic, the teasing about bi-colour and possibilities of it being released in white gold. Well, Tudor decided to bring out the Black Bay GMT, which offered a more affordable red and blue fix.

But this was created in brushed steel and had an anodised aluminium bezel and riveted bracelet completed a look that was the polar opposite to the Rolex, in a nod to why the watch had originally  been made popular.

At 41mm in size, waterproof to 200m an automatic movement it’s the perfect starter watch coming in at under £3,000 used.

Panerai Luminor

Panerai is recognised for its bold and robust designs. The Luminor collection is popular and offers a range of models under £10,000.

Somewhat out of the limelight just now but somehow instantly recognisable and cool, is the Panerai Luminor with its big case.

The more modern look of the tonal Panerai Luminor Marina ESteel Grigio Roccia, which is housed in a brushed ‘ESteel’ case – that’s a tough combination of 95% recycled metal – and is powered by the in-house P.9010 calibre.

This one can be purchased for around £8,000 but there are only 500 pieces available worldwide.

Breitling Navitimer

Breitling is famous for its pilot’s watches, and the Navitimer is an iconic model with a distinctive slide rule bezel. 

Distinguished by its technical complexity and rugged finish, each watch from the Navitimer family is equipped with a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass. The durable glass is strong and robust, with a density that only a diamond can scratch. We love the Breitling Navitimer 46mm blue/silver dial automatic chronograph watch AB0137211C1 with a stainless steel case and bidirectional bezel, available at around £7,600.

This men’s timepiece has a blue dial with polished hands and hour markers, contrasting silver subdials and a date display at the 6 o’clock position, as well as being water resistant up to 30m.
