Features of women’s watches
Today, women wear watches in all styles, including those that put function over form. However, traditionally women’s watches were crafted with a jewellers’ mindset, to look beautiful and allow the wearer to express their fashion and style. As a result, these watches are more likely to have bold colours, statement-making aesthetics, precious metals, and overall to give an impression of glamour.
Women’s watches tend to have smaller cases, which are more comfortable when worn on a slimmer wrist. 26mm and 36mm case sizes are normal for women’s watch.
The colours you will see on women’s watches dwarf the range available in men’s collections, from classic white and black to pinks, yellows and blues. There are also subtle neutral tones like taupe and gray which can blend effortlessly with any style. The tones of previous metals are popular for, as they tend to stand out more than traditional colours.
Finally, it is common to see gemstones on a luxury women’s watch. Diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and turquoise can all feature. Diamonds are the most iconic option and are usually the centrepiece of the timepiece, while other gemstones may be used to accentuate its design.
Remember, there’s no reason women can’t wear men’s watches, if they like the style. Browse all of our watches here.
