Hublot Launches Special Edition Timepiece Celebrating 10th Anniversary Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
Luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot have just revealed an epic new timepiece in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot in honour of the 10th anniversary Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic event that took place on the 3rd June, and where Hublot was serving as the official timekeeper and scoreboard sponsor.
To kickstart this year’s event, also known as the unofficial New York event of the summer, Hublot and Veuve Clicquot hosted an intimate cocktail party at the Fifth Avenue Boutique. Both media and friends of the brand were present to view the new timepiece, the Hublot Classic Fusion Veuve Clicquot, and were invited for a glass or two of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label champagne. The watch was officially unveiled by Jean-François Sberro, Managing Director, Hublot of America, alongside famed Argentine polo player and captain of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Team, Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras. Later in the evening, Hublot presented the Nacho with the timepiece, and wished him luck in the match. Guests continued to celebrate over hors d’oeuvres and champagne.

The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic celebrated its 10th anniversary and returned to the iconic venue Liberty State Park for an afternoon of high-class polo, picknicking, and champagne, hosted by the legendary actor Neil Patrick Harris, all in Hublot time! Hublot served as the official timekeeper and scoreboard sponsor for the event, and captain Nacho Figueras took to the field with the new collaboration watch. On display was a number of Hublot watches in the iconic Rosé Garden, an intimate and very exclusive lounge with a prime view of the game. The Garden was home to a collection of celebrities and socialites who stood out on the ‘green carpet’. The day was ended spectacularly with a special performance by 15-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and actress Alicia Keys.

The watch is a stunning example of the clear innovation, craftsmanship and excellence of the Swiss watchmaker Hublot. As a Classic Fusion timepiece, the watch is 45mm in diameter with a stain-finished and polished black ceramic case, lugs and crown. The sapphire openworked dial showcases the impressive automatic self-winding movement, Caliber Hublot HUB1155, which powers minutes, hours and a chronograph function and has a power reserve of 42-hours. The sumptuous openworked dial is clearly seen through the sapphire crystal which has been treated with anti-reflective treatment, and the balance wheel can be viewed through the caseback window, which has also been treated. The watch is brilliantly completed with a black rubber and orange alligator strap with black and orange stitching, and with a black PVD stainless steel deployment buckle clasp. The watch is limited to just ten pieces and will be available to purchase from the Hublot Fifth Avenue Boutique in New York. The watch is retailing at $17,700.
