Introducing The RM 35-02 Nadal Automatic Quartz-TPT, And The New RM 055 NTPT Bubba Watson “Dark Legend” And “White Legend”
Three is certainly the magic number for Richard Mille. This month, they’ve added three new models into their ever-growing watch collection, and more importantly pushed the boat out when it comes to innovative materials and design. As the highest end brand in luxury watches, it’s always comforting to see Richard Mille constantly adding and improving, refreshing already popular models – in this case the RM 035 and the RM 055.

Richard Mille RM 35-02 Rafael Nadal Automatic Quartz-TPT
So what’s different about the RM 35-02 compared to it’s predecessors? Well, it’s the first watch in this collection to feature an automatic movement. The RM 35-02 was born out of requests from customers for a self-winding mechanism at the hear of a Nadal calibre.
Richard Mille decided to go with their patented variable geometry rotor which makes it possible to adapt the winding to the user’s activity level. In more practical terms, the winding process is sped up in the case of minimal arm and hand movements, and slowed down in intense activity – like when Rafael Nadal plays a tennis match.
Another change from the other Nadal models is that it features a sapphire crystal caseback, which allows the movement to be admired from all angles. Perhaps something the RM 35-01 lacked was the exhibition caseback, so a welcome addition in my opinion.
The 50mm case will be available in either NTPT Carbon (like the RM 35-01), or the bright Quartz-TPT Red (pictured above) with white highlights. The perks of this material are exceptional stability and resistance.
The RM 35-02 won’t be limited.

Richard Mille RM 055 Bubba Watson “Dark Legend” & “White Legend”
Richard Mille and PGA champion golfer have teamed up once again to release two limited edition versions of the RM 055, which will be available exclusively in the Americas.
Similarly to previous Bubba Watson models, the RM 055 “White Legend” and “Dark Legend” are created with extremely lightweight and strong materials. The top and bottom tonneau-shaped bezels are crafted from NTPT carbon, and the casebands of blasted titanium.
The White Legend features a white inner bezel, hands and crown protector, whereas the Dark Legend is jet black, with a red crown protector, rehaut markings and strap which offer a nice contrast.
As for the movement, well the RM 055 features the manual-winding RMUL2 calibre, that is capable of withstanding accelerations of over 5000 Gs, allowing it to perform well on the wrist of a professional golfer with a quick, powerful swing.
The RM 055 “Dark Legend” and “White Legend” will be limited to 90 editions of each version.
