Luxe Watches launches remote valuation service

With the UK in yet another national lockdown, our Essex boutique has had to temporarily close but we’re very excited to launch a new venture.

We want our customers to access as many of our normal services as possible, so our team is pleased to offer remote watch valuations. You don’t need to leave the sofa as these free-of-charge watch valuations can be done from the comfort of your own home.

While we’ve been offering timepiece insurance valuations for some time, we’ve only been able to do this with a physical inspection. Now our experts can have an accurate assessment back to you within 48 hours – and at a competitive price too.

Why should you value your watch?

Do you have high value or sentimental jewellery? We know how precious and irreplaceable it can be. That’s why it’s incredibly important to have these pieces valued, whether for

insurance, probate or private sale purposes.

Wherever you live in the UK, we can assess your timepiece. Our specialist team of NAJ-accredited valuers will examine your watch and provide you with written documentation that can be used legally. You may need such paperwork in the event of your jewellery being lost, stolen or damaged. This can be used for insurance claims, making the whole process much more efficient.

You may need a professional probate valuation if you are faced with the unfortunate task of dealing with a deceased person’s assets. This many include items such as luxury watches. You may wish to sell these, in which case it’s essential that you have a competitive valuation based on its true market value.

How does the remote valuation service work?

All you need to do is complete the simple valuation form which includes the brand, model number and other information related to the condition, documentation and packaging.

We only have time-served experts on our team so you can rest assured that your timepiece will be valued honestly, based on the current market.

Tips and advice

Nick Hickey, managing director at Luxe Watches says: “Having your watch valued has never been easier and the more information you can provide us with, the more accurate our quote will be.

“We need you to tell us as much as you can about the condition of your watch. Don’t worry if there are minor scratches – that is expected with pre-worn watches, but be as specific as you can about where they are and similarly, tell us about any damage or alterations that have been made to any of the components.

“When you take images of your watch, we need to see the front, the back and the bracelet or strap – close-ups using a hi-res camera are perfect. Use a plain background and take your time to ensure the images are in focus.”

Luxe Watches’ assessors will also need to see images of any guarantees or receipts, clearly showing the serial number.

Need to know more?

Once the form is complete, it’s time to relax and wait for confirmation of your watch valuation. We will send your watch valuation certificate to you within two days of receipt.
