Luxe Watches make shortlist for Ecommerce Retailer of the Year award

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve been nominated for the Ecommerce Retailer of the Year at the Watch Pro Awards 2018. Taking place on November 6, the glitzy evening sees the UK’s most successful watch businesses including major retailers and family independents, get together to see who has won the sought-after silverware. WatchPro Awards honours the achievements of both watch brands and retailers in 14 categories. There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award for a legend of the industry. And this year, we’re delighted to appear among the finalists in the category open to retailers that trade almost exclusively online.

In the summer, readers of WatchPro were invited to put deserving businesses up for nomination and these have now been whittled down to a handful of finalists. The ultimate vote for each category is now exclusively down to industry executives who are immersed in the watch business daily. They will be emailed with a voting form, with retailers nominating suppliers and vice versa. We’re also excited and humbled to sponsor the awards this year, as we believe it marks our step up into the top flight of British watch retailing.

Our business, which specialises in sourcing new and used luxury timepieces, has achieved so much this year and is steadily growing in sophistication and scale. We’re celebrating the long way we’ve come since setting up a small shop selling a very small number of watches, brokering one deal at a time. Our hard graft has seen us launch our website and set up a retail boutique in Essex.

Now we’re working on building our brand further at a corporate level, as we gain more and more trust from our customers and trade associates. We also have exciting plans underway to set up new premises, enabling us to have an in-house watchmaker on site and therefore, cut down on costs for our customers. A finance option introduced earlier this year has also allowed for more interest in our entry level pieces.

With everything we’ve achieved this year, we’re keeping everything crossed for the award evening, which takes place at 8 Northumberland Avenue, near Trafalgar Square in London. We wish everyone nominated good luck and we shall see you there!
