Rolex bracelet re-pin service now at Luxe Watches
We’re pleased to announce that we are now offering a Rolex bracelet re-pin service here at our Epping showroom.
Bracelet repinning is essential for various reasons, mainly due to the wear and tear that occurs with regular use.
Rolex bracelets, especially the Oyster and Jubilee styles, consist of individual links connected by pins that can loosen or wear down over time – but can be restored by our professionals.
Here’s why our new service is handy for getting your watch restored to its original beauty:
Loose or worn pins
Over time, pins that connect the links of a Rolex bracelet can loosen or become worn. This is particularly common if the watch is worn daily or exposed to dust, moisture or sweat, which can all contribute to degradation.
Replacing or tightening these pins ensures the bracelet stays secure and prevents it from coming apart and while this can be quite a time-consuming process, we’ve got you covered!
Stretched bracelet
If you regularly wear your Rolex, stretching of the bracelet is inevitable, especially in older models. This is a common occurrence in Jubilee and Oyster bracelets.
When the pins and the holes in the links slowly widen, the bracelet can become loose on the wrist, causing the bracelet to elongate. A re-pin service can help restore the bracelet to its original tightness, making it feel brand new again.
Damage prevention
If the pins in your bracelet become too loose or get damaged, there’s a risk that the bracelet may come apart – and this could spell disaster if it falls off your wrist altogether. Rolex watches are incredibly valuable, and losing or damaging the timepiece would be costly.
Aesthetic appeal
Over time, the bracelet might not only loosen but also lose its sleek appearance. Re-pinning the bracelet can help restore its original look and therefore, maintain the overall aesthetic appeal of the watch.
Maintenance
Rolex watches are renowned for being robust and durable but like any mechanical item, they need periodic maintenance.
Re-pinning the bracelet can be a good preventive measure, especially if your bracelet starts to feel loose, or you just want to preserve its structural integrity.
By getting a Rolex bracelet re-pinned, you not only improve the fit and security of the bracelet but also prolong its lifespan.
What happens during our Rolex bracelet re-pin service?
During our service, one of our experts will assess your watch to check the condition, including seeing if any links are actually broken and which pins are worn.
The bracelet can then be disassembled, with each pin and link insected closely.
At this point we replace worn out links using authentic Rolex parts. Only after a thorough inspection, is the bracelet reassembled with each pin and link securely in place to ensure it is no longer baggy or loose.
If you’re interested in this service, please get in touch and our team will book you in.
