Game, set, match: The luxury watches behind Wimbledon’s favourite players

Wimbledon 2026 is underway, with the world’s biggest tennis stars battling it out once again on the famous grass courts of SW19.

From defending champions to rising young talent, all eyes have been on competing Brits including Kate Boulter, Emma Raducanu, Cam Norrie and doubles No 1 Henry Patten – and of course, on Centre Court as drama and unforgettable moments unfold.

Defending champion Jannik Sinner returned to Wimbledon with plenty of ranking points to defend on the sport’s biggest stage, while last year’s winner Carlos Alcaraz missed out entirely through injury, leaving a notable gap in the draw as he remains on the sidelines, while Serena Williams is competing in the women’s ladies’ singles as a wildcard.

But while tennis takes centre stage, there’s always plenty happening off the court too –  especially when it comes to luxury watches.

From Rolex ambassadors in action to standout pieces spotted in the stands, there are plenty of nice pieces being shown at the tournament.

Jannik Sinner

One of the standout names in Wimbledon, Jannik Sinner arrived firmly established among the elite of the men’s game, consistently sitting at the top end of the ATP rankings and continuing to build on his status as one of the tour’s most in-form players.

Already a multiple Grand Slam champion, Sinner has claimed titles at the Australian Open (2024, 2025) and the US Open (2024), underlining his rise as a dominant force across all surfaces.

Off court, his watch of choice is the Rolex Submariner Date (ref. 116610LN), featuring a 40mm Oystersteel case, black dial and scratch-resistant ceramic bezel. A modern icon in its own right, the model was discontinued in 2021 but remains a favourite among collectors and athletes alike.

He also regularly wears a 18k Everose gold Rolex Daytona with a sundust dial on an oyster-flex bracelet (ref 126515LN).

Novak Djokovic

Hublot’s Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic (ref. 441.QKB.5120.NR.DJO24) is a bold statement in modern watchmaking and it was designed in collaboration with the tennis great himself. And like its owner, this one pushes boundaries with a case and bezel crafted from a unique composite of Novak’s HEAD racquets and Lacoste polos worn during his 2023 Grand Slam-winning season.

Creative in its detailing and rich with subtle nods to the sport, the watch brings tennis inspiration into every element of its design. Engineered with a lightweight skeletonised architecture and innovative construction that makes it lighter than a tennis ball, it’s as technically impressive as it is visually striking.

Undeniably infused with Hublot’s signature DNA, the newest Big Bang feels ready to take the top seed spot both on and off the wrist.

Iga Świątek

One of the defining players of the modern women’s game, Iga Świątek has firmly established herself at the top of the WTA rankings in recent seasons, combining relentless consistency with a level of dominance that has seen her collect multiple Grand Slam titles across clay and hard courts.

Last year’s winner is closely associated with Rolex and is often seen wearing a refined Datejust model, including a 36mm striking version with Roman numerals and a green dial with jubilee band, a subtle nod to both performance and elegance.

She also owns a Datejust (ref 278274) with a stunning sunburst purple dial and diamond-set Roman numerals at 6 and 9 o’clock.

Serena Williams

At 44 years old, she’s back from retirement and is ready once again to grace Wimbledon. During her farewell appearances at the US Open, she was seen wearing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, pairing her statement on-court looks with one of the brand’s most distinctive designs.

The model she wore (ref. 67540SK.ZZ.A010CA.01), is a Quartz Royal Oak Offshore that elevates sport-luxury styling with a diamond-set bezel, silver Méga Tapisserie dial, and a bold black rubber strap in place of the traditional white.

With a 37mm case with sapphire crystal and 50m water resistance, it blends durability with unmistakable glamour.
