Want the only RM 35-03 available in the world right now?

We are BEYOND excited about the latest timepiece to arrive in our boutique.

We have an unworn Richard Mille RM 35-03 Automatic Rafael Nadal in stock and we believe it’s the only one available in the world right now!

The fourth watch in the RM 035 Collection is very cool. Here we explain why it’s such a cool and very special watch:

Butterfly rotor

Let’s get straight to the best bit. The butterfly rotor patented by Richard Mille.

It’s made up of two weights in grade 5 titanium and metal and it offers the wearer the chance to vary the rotor geometry themselves. So basically, they can control the winding of the movement according to their lifestyle and sports they play. So potentially during a game of tennis, Nadal could halt the winding, preventing excess wear on the winding mechanism.

In their initial position, the weights cause a radial displacement of the centre of gravity, generating the necessary torque to wind the barrel. So by lightly applying pressure to the pusher at 7 o’clock, you can enter the sport mode and a gear train acting for the rotor deploys the two weights at 180°. The centre of gravity is then brought back to the middle, which balances the rotor and cancels the winding power. It is therefore optimised on demand.

And if you’re in any doubt as to whether the rotor is active or not, there’s a handy on/off button located at 6 o’clock.

Bright and bold

Unlike his big brother, the RM 27 Nadal, this ‘hype’ watch is more for show as it doesn’t have a tourbillon. But it has all the showmanship of a Richard Mille, most noticeably, the lightweight tonneau-shaped case in bright carbon composite along with the all-familiar skeletonised dial.

The movement can be admired from both sides thanks to sapphire crystals on the front and back. The baseplate and bridges, crafted of grade 5 titanium with a grey electro plasma and PVD treatment, further accentuate the bold visual statement of this watch.

Like a car’s gearbox, a push-button located at 2 o’clock allows the wearer to choose the winding, neutral and hand-setting functions with a simple push. A hand at 2 o’clock displays the selected function. The watch also features sapphire glass and NTPT carbon case back, along with a white rubber folding clasp strap.
