About IWC

IWC are an international watch company founded by Florentine Ariosto Jones in 1868, renowned for crafting luxurious timepieces that intertwine style and functionality, proving the two can work together with effortless ease.

Engineer and watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones created watches that combined American engineering with Swiss precision. Distinguished by striking designs and unmatchable quality, IWC have been in the hearts of watch enthusiasts for hundreds of years.

The world’s first digital mechanical pocket watch was made by IWC in 1885, with further editions getting smaller and more compact for use in ladies’ pocket watches. IWC went on to create an in-house Calibre 64 movement, soft iron cores which protected the movement from magnetic fields, and an automatic winding system. During the Second World War, IWC began producing the Big Pilot’s Watch with an in-house calibre and central seconds which could be worn over a flight suit. This watch lives on in the new Big Pilot watch, playing homage to the original piece.

The brands history and experience manufacturing IWC watches is unrivalled, blending stunning design with precision engineering across a diverse range of watches.
